Department of infrastructure development and domestic tourism

The Department of infrastructure development and domestic tourism (hereinafter - the Department) is a structural division of the Department of tourism of Almaty region. The main task of the Department is to implement state policy in the field of tourism, tourism and tourism industry, including creating conditions for the development of a competitive tourism industry through improving the quality of tourist services and strengthening infrastructure.

Main functions of the Department:

- organization of advertising and information activities for domestic tourism;

- assist in the development and commissioning of the most promising tourist destinations;

- creation and strengthening of the material and technical base of tourism in the region and the development of appropriate tourist infrastructure;

- creation of events, making proposals for commissioning new facilities and reconstruction of existing facilities in order to develop tourism and create additional jobs;

- participation in certification, standardization and insurance of organizations engaged in tourism activities, in accordance with the conditions and procedure provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- organization and conduct of scientific research in the field of tourism and tourism activities together with the relevant departments;

- interaction with environmental institutions in the development of domestic and ecological tourism;

- participation in international, national, and regional tourism events;

- organization and conduct of retraining and advanced training courses for specialists in the field of tourism, organization of conferences and seminars;

- performing other functions within the Department.
