Department of planning and implementation of tourist projects

The Department of planning and implementation of tourism projects (hereinafter - the Department) is a structural division of the Department of tourism of Almaty region. The main task of the Department is to implement the state policy in the field of tourism, tourism and the tourism industry, including creating conditions for the development of a competitive tourism industry through improving the quality of tourist services and strengthening external relations.

Main functions of the Department:

- development and implementation of a Strategic plan, forecast of socio-economic development, promising, sectoral, targeted programs for the development of the tourism industry in the region;

- development of the work plan of the Department and preparation of reports for the administration and heads of regions, higher authorities and other state bodies;

- organization of work on planning and implementation of target indicators and initiatives according to the detailed plan within the project office;

- participation in the implementation of tourism projects under the public-private partnership mechanism;

- assistance to the development of the tourism cluster in the Almaty region;

- participation in the preparation of major scientific and technical, investment and innovation projects, directions and forecasts of international tourism development;

- establishment and strengthening of tourist relations between organizations of the Almaty region, regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and tourist companies of foreign countries;

- organization of advertising and information activities for inbound tourism;

- planning and implementation of international, national, and regional tourism events;

- participation in the preparation and implementation of the draft international agreement and contract in the field of tourism;

- interaction with environmental institutions in the development of inbound tourism;

- participation in information and advertising work on the formation of the tourist image of the region;

- participation in the implementation of international investment projects in the field of tourism;

- participation and holding of tourist events, festivals, informational tours, competitions, rallies, mountaineering, training campaigns and other events aimed at the development of inbound tourism with the involvement of budget funds allocated for tourist events;

- exchange of experience in the field of international tourism;

- participation in the preparation of proposals to improve regulatory legal acts on tourism in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- organization of tourism promotion and tourism activities using mass media and Internet resources;

- in agreement with the head of the Department, when identifying signs of crimes and offenses, the transfer of inspection materials to law enforcement agencies and other authorized bodies;

- submission of proposals aimed at improving the effectiveness of the anti-corruption organization for consideration by the office;

- performing other functions within the Department.
