Department of road development and maintenance

The Department performs the following functions:

Development and implementation of plans and programs for the development of public roads of regional significance;

Organization of works on construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of public roads of regional significance in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on public procurement;

Management of the network of highways of regional significance of General use and road enterprises that are in the municipal ownership of the region;

Implementation of state control in the construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of highways of regional and district significance;

Making a decision on granting public roads of regional significance or their sections for free temporary use;

Implementation of other powers assigned to local Executive bodies by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the interests of local government. Development and implementation of plans and programs for the development of public roads of regional significance;

The Department can also perform other functions that arise from the tasks assigned to it and do not contradict the current legislation.
