Development and implementation of prospective, current, target and regional programs of development of physical culture and sports in the framework of the strategy, public sector programs (Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On physical culture and sports"); develop and implement the schedule of regional sports events. prepares proposals for improving the legislation of the republic of kazakhstan on physical culture and sports.

Organizes work on the preparation of sports reserves and athletes of international class.

Assigns sports categories and categories: candidate for Master of sports, first sports category, coach of the highest and intermediate level of qualification of the first category, instructor-athlete of the highest level of qualification of the first category, methodologist of the highest and intermediate level of qualification of the first category, sports judge of the first category.

Conducts regional competitions in sports, provides training for regional national teams in various sports and their performances at national and international sports competitions. Coordinates the organization and conduct of sports events in the Atyrau region. Carries out international, interregional and domestic sports relations in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Coordinates the activities of district and city children's and youth sports schools, the activities of regional specialized educational and sports institutions. Provides methodological and advisory assistance to subjects of physical culture and sports and sports organizations of the region.
