Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia
Zhalgas Zhumayevich Adilbayev – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Born on December 15, 1964, in Zharssuat village, Inder District, Atyrau Region. In 1990, he graduated with honors from S. Kirov Kazakh State University, and in 1994, he completed his postgraduate studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Candidate of Historical Sciences. He has been working within the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan since May 1998. He began his diplomatic career as the Head of Division in the State Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and in 2000, he became the Head of the State Protocol Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Over the years, he served as a counselor and minister-counselor in the Embassies of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Lithuania and Austria. From 2009 to 2010, he held the position of Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Gorgan. From 2010 to 2015, he worked in the Central Apparatus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan as Deputy Chairman of the Committee for International Economic Cooperation and Ambassador-at-Large. From 2015 to 2017, he served as Minister-Counselor at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Armenia. From 2017 to 2019, he was an Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2019 to 2022, he was the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Mongolia. Prior to his appointment as Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ethiopia, he served as Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan from April 2022. He holds the diplomatic rank of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador. He is fluent in English.
