    About Akimat

    Kurtinsky rural district is located 130 km northwest of the village of Otegen Batyr, on the right bank of the Kurty River. The population is 5,384 people, the village is located in the arid agro-climatic zones of the Bazay and Karaoy plateaus.
    The village of Akshi was first formed in 1933 by the artel for the production of chalk "Kyzyl Kabak".
    On June 25, 1997, Kurtinsky district was abolished, and Akshi aul became part of Ili district and Kurtinsky rural district was created, uniting the villages of Akshi and Kurty.
