GU " Department of employment and social programs of Kostanay city akimat"

Tasks:

1) implementation of the state policy in the field of employment and social protection of the population;

2) coordination of the activities of institutions under the Department's jurisdiction;

3) implementation of other tasks stipulated by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Functions:

1) coordination of the activities of subordinate state institutions;

2) implementation of measures within the competence to promote employment;

3) provision of social support measures to persons with disabilities and children with disabilities, to certain categories of needy citizens provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

4) forecasting the needs of budget funds and the implementation of social programs in accordance with current legislation;

5) provision of public services in accordance with the current legislation;

6) appointment and payment of social assistance provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the expense of the local budget;

7) consideration of appeals from individuals and legal entities and taking necessary measures;

8) interaction with non-profit (non-governmental) organizations;

9) making a decision on the provision of special social services to a person (family);

10) performing guardianship and guardianship functions in relation to adult citizens in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

11) assignment and payment of housing assistance provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

12) performing the functions of the working body of the special commission for reviewing applications from persons (families) applying for social assistance and making conclusions on the need for social assistance;

13) performing the functions of the working body of a special commission to establish the length of service of persons who worked for at least 6 months in the period from June 22, 1941 to May 9, 1945;

14) performing the functions of the working body of the special commission for registration and accounting of citizens affected by nuclear tests at the Semipalatinsk Nuclear test site, and issuing certificates to them;

15) performing the functions of the working body of the coordinating council in the field of social protection of persons with disabilities;

16) performing the functions of a working body of a consultative and advisory body to facilitate the activities of institutions executing criminal penalties and other measures of criminal legal impact, as well as to organize social and other assistance to persons who have served criminal sentences;

17) performing the functions of the working body of the city Tripartite commission on social partnership and regulation of social and labor relations;

18) participation in the development of draft normative legal acts of local representative and executive bodies within their competence;

19) performing other functions in accordance with the norms of the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
