The main tasks of the Department are:

Cultural development in the area
The implementation of the Law RK "On languages"
The implementation of the Law RK "On culture"
The implementation of the state program "Cultural heritage»
Implementation of other tasks assigned by the state

The functions of the Department are:

. development and implementation of practical measures in the field of national policy

. development of the state and national languages, cultures, and spiritual traditions of the peoples inhabiting the district;

. comprehensive analysis of the language situation in the region

. monitoring compliance by all state and non-state institutions with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan " on languages in the Republic of Kazakhstan»

. conducting a sociological survey among the population on the development of languages and culture in the district

. makes suggestions to the Mayor of the district on improving the structure of the Department

. prepares drafts of decisions, orders of the akim and akimat resolutions on issues falling into the competence of Department;

. monitors compliance with deadlines received control documents, preparing quality answers and information.

. organizes and conducts seminars and other district events on issues within the competence of the Department

. reviews letters, applications, and complaints received by the Department.
