Structure — State institution “Department of Architecture and Urban Planning” of Kegen district

Kegensky district is located in the southeastern part of Almaty region. The center is the village of Kegen. In 1930-1997 it was a separate district, in 1997-2018 it was part of the Raiymbek district. On April 2, 2018, it was transformed into a private area. 34 localities of the district are united into 12 rural districts. The population of the district is 28 000 people (2023), national composition: Kazakhs (99.36%), others (0.64%).
