The competence of the Department includes ensuring compliance with the rule of law in the activities of the akimat and akim of the region, deputy akim of the region and the office, protection by legal means of property and other legal rights and interests of the akimat and akim of the region, the office, representation in the established manner of the interests of the akimat and akim of the region, the office in the courts, as well as in other bodies when considering legal issues of their activities, organizing interaction with state, law enforcement agencies and public organizations on the prevention of offenses, combating corruption, maintaining law and order and the rule of law, registration of acts of civil status, participation in the development of draft regulatory legal acts of the akimat and akim of the region and other documents of a legal nature, organization of work to improve rule-making.
