Information and Cybersecurity Department

Key Functions of the Department:

1) establishing a centralized information exchange system to protect the information and communication infrastructure of the financial sector in order to prevent cyberattacks and ensure its stable operation;

2) conducting inspections of financial market entities to verify compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of information technology, information security and IT risk management;

3) ensuring the operation and development of the Agency’s information security management system to protect the Agency’s information assets;

4) developing the Agency’s regulatory and methodological framework in the field of information security and cybersecurity;

5) conducting inspections of the Agency’s departments in the field of information security and cybersecurity.
