About the Akimat
Aitekebi district - administrative division in the North-Eastern part of the Aktobe region. The population is 26 thousand people, the average density is 0.9 people per 1 km2 (2006). National composition: Kazakh 93.6%, Russian 4%, Ukrainian 0.9%, Tatar 0.4%. As of July 2008, the district had a population of 31277. The district was formed in 1997 as a result of the abolition of the Karabutak and Komsomol districts. The district has 32 localities and 15 rural districts. The district is located 320 km from Aktobe region, in the North-East of the region, along the Irgiz river, which borders Russia.
