Malik Murzalin

Born on 31 October 1971.

Graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) in 1996.

1996–2004 — Intern, Referent, Attaché, Third Secretary, Second Secretary and First Secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation.

2004–2006 — Head of the Office of the Akim (Mayor) of North Kazakhstan Region.

2006–2008 — Deputy Akim (Mayor) and First Deputy Akim (Mayor) of North Kazakhstan Region.

2008–2009 — Deputy Head of the Central Office of the “Nur Otan” People’s Democratic Party.

2010 — Adviser to the President of JSC National Company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy”.

2010–2011 — Head of the Office of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2011–2013 — Executive Secretary of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Religious Affairs.

2013–2017 — Deputy Head and First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2017–2019 — Akim (Mayor) of Akmola Region.

2019–2022 — Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Prior to his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Malaysia, he served, from December 2022, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Georgia.

Holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, First Class.

Speaks English and Urdu.
