Biography
Bulat Sugurbayev has served as Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Malaysia since March 2021.
A career member of the Diplomatic Service since 2005, he previously served as Director of the Americas Department, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Ministry's International Information Committee (Public Diplomacy) and earlier – as Head of Public Image Division at the same Committee.
His previous assignments include service at the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Singapore, Australia and New Zealand as well as the Foreign Ministry's Department for Asia and Africa.
Bulat Sugurbayev was awarded a Specialist Degree (Honours) from the Eurasian National University (Kazakhstan) in 2005.
