
SAPARBEKULY Abzal
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Hungary
Biography
Born on August 6, 1975 in the village of Kairat, Zhambyl region. Graduated from Middle East Technical University (Turkey) in 1999.
He began his professional career in 1999 as an auditor at the Okan Inter-Continental Hotel in Astana.
He embarked on his diplomatic career in 2000 as a desk officer in the Near and Middle East, Maghreb and Africa Department of the Bilateral Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2003 to 2008, he held the position of attaché, third secretary, and second secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Turkey.
In 2008, he was appointed to the position of Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Protocol of JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.
In 2008-2011 he served as an counsellor to the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva.
From 2011 to 2017, he served as Director of the Secretariat of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States, concurrently acting as Deputy Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States in Istanbul.
From 2017 to 2022, he had the honor of serving as Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkey, as well as to Albania, with residence in Ankara.
From 2022 to 2024 President of "Otandastar" (Compatriots Fund) semi-state Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Up to appointment as Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Hungary from May 2024, he had served as Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary First Class.
Fluent in Turkish, English and Russian.
