Biography
Gulmira Sailaubekovna Karaulova
She was born on October 16, 1977, in the city of Taraz.
In 1999, she graduated from M.Kh.Dulaty Taraz State University with a degree in International Economic Relations.
In 2009, she graduated from the University of International Business with a degree in Economics, holding a Master’s degree in Economics.
In 2014, she graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a degree in Political Science, holding a Master’s degree in Social Sciences.
From 1994 to 2000, she worked at the Zhambyl branch of State JSC «Bailanys-kurylysshy» and LLP «Tarazturist».
From 2000 to 2001, she worked as a Leading Specialist of the Living Standards Statistics Office of the Division of Social Statistics and Household Surveys of the Department of Social and Demographic Statistics of the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2001 to 2002, she worked as a Specialist of the Household Statistics Information Support Division of the RSE «Information and Computing Center of the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan».
From March to November 2003, she worked as a Leading Specialist in the Office of Culture, Sports, and Media of the Division of Education, Science, Culture, Sports and Media of the Department of Social Sector Expenditure Planning of the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2007 to 2009, she held the positions of Chief Specialist and Expert of the Division of Social Statistics of the Department of Social and Demographic Statistics of the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2009 to 2010, she held the positions of Expert and Chief Expert of the Division of Household Survey of the Department of Labor and Household Surveys Statistics of the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2010 to 2011, she held the positions of Chief Expert and Head of the Division of Living Standards Statistics of the Department of Labor and Living Standards Statistics of the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2011 to 2014, she worked as the Head of the Division of Household Surveys of the Department of Labor and Household Surveys Statistics of the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2014 to 2020, she held the positions of Chief Expert, Head of the Division of Social and Demographic Statistics, and Head of the Division of Services and Energy Statistics of the Committee on Statistics of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2020 to 2021, she worked as the Head of the Division of Services and Energy Statistics of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From January 2021 to April 2025, she held the positions of Deputy Director and Director of the Department of Services and Energy Statistics of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Since April 29, 2025, she has been serving as the Deputy Head of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
She has been awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the badge «Statistika Uzdigi» (Best Statistician), and the medal «Eren Eńbegi Úshin» (For Distinguished Labor).
