
Biography
Serik Sagitzhanovich was born on January 29, 1965 in the Kazalinsky district of the Kyzylorda region. He has two higher education degrees in the specialties «Economist» (Almaty Institute of National Economy) and «Lawyer» (Eurasian University named after L.N. Gumilyov).
He began his career in 1988 as the chief economist of the central logistics base of the Ministry of Fisheries in Almaty.
Over the years, he worked as an economist and financier of the Kyzylorda fish factory, senior inspector of the akim’s apparatus, head of the apparatus of the Kyzylorda region, deputy akim of the Shieli district of the Kyzylorda region, head of the department of entrepreneurship and industry of the Kyzylorda region. He also worked as akim of the Zhalagash district, Aral district of the Kyzylorda region, and deputy chairman of the board of NC JSC SPK Baikonir.
Prior to his appointment, he held the position of head of the department of natural resources and environmental regulation of the Kyzylorda region.
