Biography
Mr. Zhanibek Abdrashov was born on September 6, 1977 in Almaty. In 1998, he graduated with honors from the Kazakh State law University with a degree in law.
He has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan since 1998. He began his career as a legal adviser, head of the sector of the Department for servicing the diplomatic corps of the MFA of Kazakhstan.
2004-2006 – Head of the State Protocol Service of the Ministry of foreign Affairs in Almaty.
2006-2010 – the Second, First secretary of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UN in New York.
2010 – appointed as the Deputy, and then in 2014 the Chief of the State Protocol Service of the MFA of Kazakhstan.
2017-2019 – he worked as Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in New York.
2019-2024 – the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Hungary.
2020-2024 – he served as the Non-Resident Ambassador of Kazakhstan to North Macedonia.
He has the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
