Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan
Biography
Born on May 19, 1964 in Almaty region.
Graduated from the Kazakh Polytechnical Institute, St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance.
Holds PhD in Economic Sciences.In 1985 he began his career as a smelter at the Copper Smelting Plant of the Norilsk Mining and Metallurgical Combine.
During his early career he worked at the Shymkent Lead Plant, in Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, State JSC «Karaganda Steel Mill» and in business.
In 2006 he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2006 to 2008 – served as a Counsellor and Minister-Counsellor of the Embassies of Kazakhstan in Russian Federation and Islamic Republic of Iran. From 2008 to 2010 - Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Frankfurt am Main.
From 2010 to 2012 served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Malaysia, with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, and the Republic of the Philippines.
From 2012 to 2014 he was the Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2014 to 2015 - Executive Secretary of the Ministry for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2015-2016 was appointed as an Akim (Governor) of South Kazakhstan region.
From 2016 to 2018 served as the Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2018-2019, he served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2019 to 2022, he was appointed as Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On October 31, 2022 was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
He has the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
