A. A. Batanov started his career in 1998 as a specialist in the staff of the Saty rural district.
In 2000-2001, he worked as a veterinarian in Raiymbek district LLP "doctor".
2004-2007-Chief Specialist-Manager of the Akim of Saty rural district.
In 2007, he was hired in the newly created state institution "State National Natural Park"Kolsai kolderi" in the village of Saty, where he worked until 2019 as the head of the Department of environmental education and tourism.

From August 21, 2023, he was elected mayor of Saty rural district, Kegen district, Almaty region.
