Serikzhan Myrzaly began his career in 1999 as an investigator of the Pavlodar police department;

Consistently held the positions of investigator of the investigative service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Pavlodar region, deputy head of the investigation department of the Southern OP of the Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Pavlodar;

At various times, he held senior positions in the prosecutor's office of Pavlodar, South Kazakhstan regions, Astana, financial police and anti-corruption service of the central office, as well as South Kazakhstan and Atyrau regions;

He worked as an assistant to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan, head of structural divisions of the central apparatus of the General Prosecutor's Office. He was the prosecutor of Ust-Kamenogorsk, deputy prosecutor of the Kostanay region;

He headed the departments of the Anti-Corruption Agency in the Kostanay and Kyzylorda regions, and served as deputy head of the Headquarters Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

From 2024 to 2026, he served as Head of the Department of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Accounting of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Akmola Region;

In June 2026, he was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Accounting of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
