Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Bulgaria

General information, education

Viktor Temirbayev was born on July 16, 1967 in Pavlodar. He graduated Moscow Institute of Electronic Engineering in 1993, and in 1999 the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Labor activity

He started his career in 1991 as a manager in JSC «Financial and Industrial Group Kazakhstan».

He began his diplomatic career in 1993 as a referent of the Department of International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From August to October 1994, he was a referent of the State Protocol Department.

1994-1997 - attache, third secretary of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Pakistan.

From 1999 to 2003 he worked as the second, first secretary, counselor of the Department of Multilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2003-2005 - first secretary of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Israel.

In 2005-2006 - Head of the Department of International Organizations and Security Issues, Head of the Department of Asian Cooperation.

From 2006 to 2007, he was the Head of the Political Department of the CICA Secretariat.

In 2007-2008 - deputy Head of the representative office of JSC FUR «Kazyna».

In 2009, he was appointed as Director of the Corporate Development Department of the «National Innovation Fund» JSC.

From 2010 to 2018 – Counselor, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russian Federation.

Prior to his appointment as the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Bulgaria, he was the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Lithuania (2018-2022).

He has the diplomatic rank of Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the I class.
