Biography
Yerlan Azatovich Betekbayev was born on January 19, 1981 in Almaty. He graduated from the Kazakh State Law University in 2002 with a degree in Jurisprudence.
He started his career on September 3, 2003 as the Chief Specialist of the organization of work of control and legal support of the Prosecutor's Office of Astana. Since November 6, 2003, he held the positions of assistant and then senior assistant to the prosecutor of the Saryarka district.
From July 19, 2005 to July 8, 2009, he consistently held the positions of Senior Prosecutor of the Department for Supervision of the Legality of Investigation and Inquiry, the Department for Supervision of the Legality of Operational Investigative Activities of the Astana City Prosecutor's Office, the prosecutor of Glubokovsky district.
On September 9, 2009, he was appointed Deputy Military Prosecutor of the Akmola garrison.
On October 5, 2012, he was appointed military prosecutor of the Ust-Kamenogorsk garrison.
Since December 2025, he has been appointed prosecutor of the city of Ridder, East Kazakhstan region.
