Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Issagaliyev received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sameh Shehata.
Issagaliyev congratulated the Egyptian diplomat on his appointment and expressed confidence that his mission would give impetus to strengthening the traditional friendly relations between Astana and Cairo and open new opportunities for cooperation. For his part, the Ambassador of Egypt stated his commitment to making every effort to develop ties between the two countries during his mission.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the main areas of bilateral relations, including intensifying political dialogue and trade and economic ties, expanding cooperation in tourism, and simplifying visa procedures.
The diplomats also expressed their intention to continue joint work aimed at deepening interaction within international organizations and bilateral relations, as well as exchanging high-level visits between the countries.
