On August 3, 2026, Ambassador-at-Large – Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty Zhanibek Abdrashov held a working meeting with the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty Su Fangqiu. The parties discussed the state and prospects of Kazakhstan-China cooperation in the political, trade and economic spheres as well as people-to-people ties. Special attention was paid to consular issues, including the protection of the citizens rights and interests. At the end of the conversation, the diplomats confirmed their readiness to actively support cooperation in the bilateral format in the future.
