    Current Tax Legislation Issues Discussed in Ust-Kamenogorsk

    On July 23, 2026, a seminar titled"Explanation of the Provisions of the New Tax Code"was heldat the East Kazakhstan Regional Branch of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan"Atameken."The event brought together representatives of the Department of State Revenue for the East Kazakhstan Region (hereinafter referred to as "the Department"), taxpayers, participants in foreign economic activity, representatives of consulting companies, members of the media, and bloggers.

    During the seminar, participants were provided with explanations on the most relevant issues concerning the application of the new tax legislation.

    Gulmira Sabralimova, Head of the Department's Public Outreach and Contact Center Division, delivered a presentation on the taxation of income earned by agricultural producers.

    Azamat Zhakiyanov, Head of the Department's Tax Debt Management Division, spoke about the enforcement measures and compulsory tax collection procedures introduced under the new Tax Code.

    The seminar continued with a presentation by Askhat Zhibitayev, Head of the Department's Indirect Tax Administration Division, who provided a detailed overview of the mandatory labeling of beer and beer beverages, as well as recent amendments and additions to tax legislation concerning value-added tax (VAT) and excise taxes.

    Throughout the seminar, participants received practical guidance on the application of specific provisions of the new Tax Code, discussed key aspects of tax administration, and exchanged views on the most pressing issues encountered in taxpayers' day-to-day activities.

    At the conclusion of the event, participants shared positive feedback, highlighting the seminar's high level of organization, the practical value of the information presented, and the importance of holding similar educational and outreach events. In their opinion, such meetings contribute to improving taxpayers' legal awareness and strengthening constructive dialogue between government authorities and the business community.
