Question: If a sole proprietor wishes to engage in an additional type of activity (OKED), what steps must be taken?
Answer: Changes to registration information are made by the tax authority based on a notification of the commencement of the sole proprietor’s activities, submitted no later than 10 business days from the date of the change in registration data.
Order No. 4 of the Ministry of Taxation of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 6, 2015, “On the Approval of Notification Forms and Rules for the Acceptance of Notifications by Government Agencies, as well as on the Designation of Government Agencies Responsible for Accepting Notifications,” approved the Form for Notification of the Commencement of Activities as an Individual Entrepreneur (Appendix 3-5 to the Order).
Paragraph 4 of the aforementioned notification requires the following information to be provided:
- Type of activity carried out (specify the five-digit code in accordance with the General Classifier of Economic Activities).
After submitting the notification of commencement of activities as an individual entrepreneur, information about the individual entrepreneur, including the specified OKED code, is automatically transmitted to the ISNA National Register.
You can change or add an OKED code through the e-government portal (e-license) or other second-tier banking services designed to modify an individual entrepreneur’s registration data.
