The last two weeks have been incredibly busy in preparation for the first, historic meeting of the Kazakhstan-Morocco Business Council. Established in 2025, the Council aims to provide a powerful impetus for bringing businesses closer together between the two countries, and we are now entering the final stretch before this important event. In Casablanca, leading Kazakhstani companies will meet face-to-face with the Moroccan business community.
Kazakh Ambassador Saulekul Sailaukyzy held a series of intensive working meetings with Moroccan Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi, Directors of the Political and Economic Departments of the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Omar Kadiri and Mohamed Belhadj, President of the Association of Businesswomen of Morocco Zahra Maafiri, Wali of the Fez-Meknes Region - Governor of the Fez Prefecture Khalid Ait Taleb, President of the Federation of Mineral Industries of Morocco Mohamed Cherra, Member of the Chamber of Councillors of the Parliament Fatima Zagouh, President of Diana Holding Rita Maria Zniber and President of the Casablanca Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hassan Berkani.
The main objective is to ensure detailed coordination of B2B meetings so that each contact contributes to achieving practical results in such areas as mineral fertilizer production, logistics, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, IT technologies, mechanical engineering and renewable energy. The interest of the parties is confirmed by concrete indicators: bilateral trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Morocco exceeded USD 460 million, increasing by 68%, while the potential for further growth remains significant.
Entrepreneurs benefit from the current mutual visa-free regime, which significantly simplifies business travel logistics and expedites decision-making. The first meeting of the Business Council in Casablanca aims to translate this potential into new joint ventures and large-scale investment projects.
