On October 22, 2026, the 9th Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable (KGIR 2026) was held in Shymkent. The event, titled "From Stability to Growth: Kazakhstan's New Investment Cycle," was attended by Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov.
The event was attended by 500 investors and business representatives from more than 40 countries. Twenty-two documents worth a total of $4.8 billion were signed.
It is worth noting that for the first time, Moroccan representatives participated in the roundtable: Amin Laguidi, President of the African Mining and Energy Congress and Honorary Member of the International Diplomatic Academy, and Zahid Rashid, President of Zahi Group (food industry and logistics).
