The Head of State congratulated the participants of the formal ceremony on Rescuer’s Day and expressed his gratitude to all personnel working in the field of emergency services.
“The term ‘rescuer’ carries a profound and multifaceted meaning. The very concept of ‘rescue’ is intrinsically linked to performing good deeds and acts of kindness. Safeguarding human life, protecting people from threats and dangers, extending a helping hand to those in distress, and offering words of support during difficult moments—these noble qualities define the true calling of a rescuer. That is why our people refer to you—all those serving in emergency agencies—as ‘peacetime heroes.’ And this is an entirely fitting assessment. Being a rescuer is an honorable mission, one that is deeply respected by society. At the same time, we must recognize that dedicated service in the field of civil protection is a task not everyone is capable of undertaking. Undoubtedly, the demands placed upon you are exceptionally high: you must be brave, courageous, composed, and decisive. Above all, however, a rescuer is a patriot—someone who cares deeply for their country—as well as a highly skilled professional. Only those who are strong-spirited, bold, and responsible choose such a challenging profession,” the President stated.
✔️Kassym-Jomart Tokayev described emergency service personnel as true professionals who have undergone specialized training, possess the ability to make rapid decisions in critical moments, and never retreat in the face of danger.
“It could not be otherwise, for the work of rescuers is always in the public eye. By prioritizing professional duty and responsibility, you face risks on a daily basis. In short, you stand on the front lines in the battle against the elements.” "You work tirelessly to come to people’s aid and rescue them from distress. In any emergency, you are the first to rush to the scene, risking your own lives to save the lives of others. This is the true heroism of genuine rescuers. As Head of State, I believe that your selfless work deserves the highest respect in our society," he noted.
