Kumar Aksakalov, Head of the Kostanay Region, expressed his appreciation to the deputies of the VIII convocation of the Kostanay Regional Maslikhat for their contribution to the region’s development and their dedicated work.
Today, the Kostanay Region has become one of the country’s leading industrial centres. Over the past 10 years, the share of the real sector in the regional economy has increased from 39% to 51%. The economic growth target of at least 6.0%, set by the Head of State, was significantly exceeded, reaching 8.3% in 2024 and 9.0% in 2025.
Over the past three years, the regional economy has grown 1.5 times, from KZT 4.2 trillion to KZT 6.1 trillion, while investment has increased 1.6 times, from KZT 492.1 billion to KZT 802 billion.
Compared with 2022, the regional budget has grown 1.7 times, reaching KZT 741.9 billion. Tax revenues are projected to increase 1.8 times, from KZT 155.6 billion to KZT 282.2 billion.
The Kostanay Region accounts for nearly one-third of the country’s exports of processed agricultural products and 25% of Kazakhstan’s machinery manufacturing output.
“These achievements are the result of our joint efforts. I thank the deputies of the VIII convocation of the Kostanay Regional Maslikhat for their constructive cooperation and wish them continued success and new accomplishments in their work,” the regional head noted.
