Amman, 14 October 2026 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan H.E. Mr. Talgat Shaldanbay held a meeting with the Mayor of Greater Amman, H.E. Mr. Ahmad Al-Malkawi.
The sides discussed prospects for further developing cooperation between Astana and Amman. Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of agreements reached within the framework of the brother-city partnership between the two capitals.
The Ambassador briefed the Mayor on the significant political transformations implemented in Kazakhstan in 2026, highlighting their importance for further strengthening the country’s institutional foundations, reinforcing representative mechanisms and expanding public dialogue.
For his part, A.Al-Malkawi spoke positively about the ongoing reforms in Kazakhstan, noting their importance for the country’s further development.
Following the meeting, the sides expressed their mutual readiness to support efforts to strengthen brother-city ties between Astana and Amman.
