    “Discover Kazakhstan” Photo Exhibition Opens in Chișinău

    Chișinău, 8 October 2026.The official opening of the “Discover Kazakhstan” photo exhibition took place in Chișinău.Organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of Chișinău City Hall, the exhibition was opened by Ambassador Almat Aidarbekov and General Mayor Ion Ceban. Representatives of government institutions, diplomatic missions and city residents were invited to the event.

    The exhibition marks Kazakhstan’s Republic Day and the 590th Anniversary of Chișinău. It aimsto introduce residents and visitors of the Moldovan capital to Kazakhstan’s nature, historical and cultural heritage, and contemporary development, while helping to strengthen friendly ties between the two peoples.

    The display features 43 photographs — 43 windows into Kazakhstan.The images introduce visitors to majestic mountains and vast steppes, ancient monuments and sacred sites, national traditions and the architecture of modern cities.Together, they reveal the diversity of a country that carefully preserves its heritage and continues to develop.

    In his remarks, Ambassador Aidarbekov noted that the friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Moldova are based on mutual respect.Meetings between Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Maia Sandu, the opening of Moldova’s Embassy in Astana and Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi’s official visit to Kazakhstan in 2025 have contributed to further strengthening bilateral cooperation.

    The Ambassador emphasised that the exhibition offers residents and visitors of Chișinău an opportunity to discover Kazakhstan’s nature, cultural heritage and contemporary character.He thanked General Mayor Mr. Ion Ceban and the staff of City Hall for supporting the initiative and helping to bring it to fruition.

    General Mayor Mr. Ceban thanked the Embassy for organising the exhibition and highlighted its contribution to the cultural life of Chișinău.He noted that such initiatives enable residents to learn about the history and traditions of other countries, strengthen friendly ties and create opportunities for further cooperation.

    Following the opening ceremony, guests viewed the photographs and enjoyed traditional Kazakh dishes. They warmly welcomed the exhibition, highlighting the welcoming atmosphere and the opportunity to discover more about Kazakhstan’s culture and traditions.

    The “Discover Kazakhstan” photo exhibition in Valea Morilor Park will remain open until 7 November 2026.
