
The Head of State has set the task of creating a comfortable living environment for people, introducing modern solutions, and improving the quality of urban infrastructure.
A new eco-taxi fleet consisting of electric vehicles has begun operating in Kostanay as part of the “Taza Kazakhstan” national environmental initiative. This is a modern, environmentally friendly and convenient passenger transportation service for residents.
Kostanay Region Governor Kumar Aksakalov attended the official opening ceremony.
As part of the project, 65 JAC electric vehicles were purchased. The total investment amounted to 487.5 million tenge. More than 100 new jobs will be created. The electric vehicles were manufactured at the Allur plant in Kostanay.
Electric vehicles will help reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere and decrease the environmental burden on the city. As part of the project, a network of charging stations for electric vehicles is also being developed. The stations will be located at various points across the city.
“Over the past five years, the population of Kostanay has increased by 20,000 people. Therefore, we need to continue introducing modern technologies, environmentally friendly solutions and initiatives that make people’s lives more comfortable,” the regional governor said in his congratulatory address.
