
Antwerp, 29 September 2026 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belgium Roman Vassilenko paid a working visit to the headquarters of the Belgian company Katoen Natie, where he familiarised himself with its activities in developing logistics infrastructure, including the storage, packaging, handling and distribution of various types of products, as well as the development of automated warehousing and distribution facilities.
During the visit, Ambassador Vassilenko met with Fernand Huts, Chairman and CEO of Katoen Natie, as well as other representatives of the company’s management. The sides discussed prospects for cooperation in logistics, warehousing infrastructure and multimodal transport.
The sides also discussed the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor) and opportunities to apply Katoen Natie’s expertise in developing logistics hubs, multimodal terminals and modern warehousing facilities.
Background:Katoen Natie is one of Belgium’s largest privately owned family industrial and logistics groups, specialising in petrochemical and industrial logistics, warehousing and terminal operations, multimodal transport, automation and supply-chain engineering. The company operates in 30 countries, employs more than 18,000 people and has an annual turnover of around EUR 3.2 billion.
