As part of Tourism EXPO Japan 2026 in Tokyo, Astana Invest and the Japan International Interaction and Development Association (JIDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The document was signed by Askhat Bekeyev, Chairman of the Management Board of Astana Invest, and Zharkin Gulzat, President of JIDA.
The memorandum aims to promote business and investment cooperation, facilitate the exchange of experience and information, and support investment attraction. The parties intend to cooperate in organizing mutual business visits, identifying potential partners, and implementing joint projects.
Earlier, Astana Invest and JIDA held talks in Astana, during which the Japanese side was introduced to the capital’s investment potential and the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation. As a follow-up to the agreements reached, the parties are considering organizing business meetings in Tokyo with representatives of Japanese industrial companies.
JIDA promotes international business cooperation, facilitates partner searches and technology transfer, and supports Japanese companies in entering foreign markets. Around 70 Japanese companies participate in the organization’s programs, with Kazakhstan identified as one of the priority areas of its international activities.
