COMMUNICATION from the Maslikhat of the Kegen District, Almaty Region, regarding the formation of a new composition of election commissions. In accordance with Article 10 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan” (hereinafter referred to as the Constitutional Law on Elections), the Maslikhat of the Kegen District, Almaty Region, informs that a new composition of 1 district and 20 precinct election commissions has been formed. The number of district and precinct election commissions has been determined by the territorial election commission of the district, depending on the number of voters at the precincts.The term of office of election commissions is five years.. Each political party has the right to nominate one candidate to the relevant election commission. A political party has the right to nominate candidates to the election commission who are not members of that political party.. If there are no proposals from political parties, the maslikhats elect the election commission based on proposals from other public associations and higher‑level election commissions.Politicalparties,otherpublicassociations, theirstructuralunits, and higher-level bodies inrelationto the electioncommissions being formed must submit the followingdocuments to the maslikhatbyOctober9, 2026:1)informationaboutcandidates for membership in election commissions in the prescribed form, in electronic and paperformats;2) an extractfrom the decision of the political party, public association, or their branches(representations), or the higher -level election commission regarding the nomination of candidates for membership in the relevant election commissions. 1 ) a copy of the document confirming the registration of a politicalparty,publicassociation, ortheirbranches( representative offices) ;4) candidates ’ statements of consent to participatein the work of the electioncommission in the prescribedform.. The forms containing informationabout candidates for membership in election commissions, as well as candidates’ statements of consent to participate in the work of election commissions, are postedon the maslikhat ’s website.. A personproposed for membership in an election commission mustmeet the requirements of the ConstitutionalLaw on Elections.. A member of an election commission must reside in the territory of the administrative‑territorialunit where the maslikhat that formed the commission is located.More than half of the members of the electioncommissionshouldnotbeemployees of the sameorganization,except in cases of establishment of pollingstationsprovided for in paragraph3 of Article23 of the ConstitutionalLawonElections.Thesameelectioncommissionmaynotincludecloserelatives(parents,children,adoptive parents, adopted children ,fullandhalfsiblings,grandparents,grandchildren)or a spouse.All documents submitted to the maslikhat in paper format must be signed, certified with a stamp, and contain the date of execution, a note about the executor, indicating the surname, initials, and phone number.. Proposals for the composition of election commissions are accepted until October 9, 2026, from Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:30, with a break from 12:30 to 14:00.
