Addis Ababa, September 24, 2026 – H.E. Mr. Zhalgas Adilbayev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the African Union, met with Ms. Zuzana Schwidrowski, Director of the Social and Economic Development Division of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).
During the meeting, the sides discussed socio-economic development in Africa and exchanged views on prospects for joint engagement to advance trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and African nations, both bilaterally and within multilateral formats.
Representative of UNECA mentioned Kazakhstan as one of the perspective partners for Africa.
Following the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to maintain active working-level contacts to formulate joint proposals for further practical cooperation.
