The arrival of a baby in a family brings many happy moments, complemented by an important stage — applying for the entitled benefits. Parents can receive the childbirth allowance through the State Corporation "Government for Citizens". Over the past 8 months of this year, more than 200,000 families have already applied for the one-time childbirth benefit.
At the same time, it is not necessary to apply for the payment in person — the service is available in a proactive format. After registering the child's birth, the parent receives an SMS notification. It is enough to confirm consent to receive the service and indicate the bank account — the benefit will be assigned automatically.
The largest volume of payments falls on the southern regions and cities of national significance. The undisputed leader in the number of processed benefits is the Turkestan region, where over 28,000 families received payments. Almaty ranks second with more than 19,000 payments, and Astana closes the top three, where over 17,000 families received state support.
The amount of one-time financial assistance from the state depends on the birth order of the child. In 2026, the payment amount for the birth of the first, second, or third child is 164,350 tenge, and for subsequent children — 272,475 tenge.
It is also important to consider the application deadline. Documents must be submitted within 18 months from the child's date of birth. After this period, the right to the payment is lost.
The benefit can be processed at branches of the State Corporation "Government for Citizens" — the service delivery period is up to 7 working days. When submitting an application through the e-government portal or second-tier bank applications, the payment is processed within 4 working days.
