Astana, 17 Seprember 2026 –Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Issetov received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Kazakhstan and Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark for Central Asia Lars Thuesen ( with residence in Copenhagen). The meeting was held on the occasion of the presentation of copies of his Letters of Credence.
Arman Issetov congratulated Lars Thuesen on his appointment and expressed confidence that he would make an active contribution to further strengthening bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Denmark.
The sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of Kazakh-Danish cooperation, noting the potential for further enhancing bilateral engagement. Particular attention was paid to strengthening political dialogue, expanding trade and investment ties, and advancing joint initiatives.
The meeting also covered cooperation in the energy and transport sectors, as well as interaction in the fields of education and artificial intelligence, which are of mutual interest.
In conclusion, Lars Thuesen expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and substantive exchange of views, reaffirming the Danish side’s interest in maintaining close contacts with its Kazakh counterparts.
