A roundtable was held at the Customs Post “Astana – Zhana Kala” Special Economic Zone with the participation of representatives of foreign economic activity participants (FEA).
The roundtable was attended by Anuar Madiyev, Deputy Head of the State Revenue Department for Astana, Ilsiya Bondarenko, Head of the Tariff Regulation Division, as well as Beibolat Seipilov, Head of the Customs Post “Astana – Zhana Kala” Special Economic Zone, and representatives of foreign economic activity participants.
During the event, particular attention was paid to the correct completion of Box 46 “Statistical Value” and Box 31 “Packages and Description of Goods” of the Goods Declaration (GD), as well as to the requirements for information necessary to determine the EAEU Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity (EAEU CN FEA) code and conduct automated data analysis.
In addition, typical errors made when completing goods declarations were reviewed, along with practical examples of declaring goods when placing them under the customs procedures IM 40 and IM 70.
Particular attention was also paid to the requirements for the description of goods. It was emphasized that the information provided in Box 31 of the GD must be complete, accurate and sufficient for the unambiguous identification of the goods, and must correspond to the declared EAEU CN FEA code.
At the end of the event, participants received answers to relevant questions and practical recommendations on the correct completion of goods declarations.
Holding such roundtables contributes to improving the quality of customs declaration, preventing errors, and ensuring compliance with customs legislation by foreign economic activity participants.
