The Department of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Zhambyl Region, as part of state control in the field of accreditation and conformity assessment, conducted an unscheduled inspection of an accredited testing laboratory.
During the inspection, it was established that tests were conducted and their results were documented for objects and test methods that were not included in the current scope
of accreditation of the laboratory, which constitutes a violation of the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of accreditation and technical regulation.
«Based on the results of the consideration of the administrative offense case, by a resolution of the Department, an administrative fine was imposed on the legal entity in the total amount of 930 MCI, which amounts to 4,022,250 tenge, with the imposition of an additional administrative penalty in the form of suspension of the accreditation certificate for a period of 6 months», - noted Bauyrzhan Kasymov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the MTI RK.
The measures taken are aimed at preventing testing outside the established scope of accreditation, ensuring the reliability of test results, and protecting the interests of consumers and market participants.
The Department will continue systematic work to suppress violations of legislative requirements in the areas of technical regulation, accreditation, and conformity assessment.
Compliance with the scope of accreditation is a mandatory condition for ensuring confidence in test results and the conformity assessment system.
