During a working trip to the Beimbet Mailin district, Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov reviewed a number of important projects, met with agricultural producers, and inspected the progress of work carried out under the republican environmental program "Taza Kazakhstan". The head of the region also met with the district's population, spoke about the key indicators of socio-economic development, and answered residents' questions.
The Head of State noted the importance of developing logistics capacities and dry ports to expand international trade and increase the country's transit potential.
Currently, two international transport and logistics complexes are being built in the region. One of them is located in Kostanay, the second – in the Beimbet Mailin district. This is the "TOBOL CENTER KZ" production and logistics complex, focused on the storage and processing of grain and oilseed crops, vegetable storage, as well as transport logistics.
The project will include the creation of feed meal production, an oil mill, warehouse facilities, a silo park, a container yard, railway spur networks, and logistics and customs control zones.
The district's agricultural sector demonstrates significant development rates. During the autumn harvesting campaign, 75.1% of grain and leguminous crops were harvested. Under the "Ken Dala" program, 29 agricultural producers received loans totaling 2.1 billion tenge. This year, 59 units of agricultural machinery were purchased for a total amount of over 3 billion tenge.
A 40 MW gas piston power plant is being built on the territory of "Varvarinskoye" LLP. The investment volume is 14.3 billion tenge. 35 jobs will be created.
This is the enterprise's second major project in the field of its own energy generation. Last year, a 22.6 MW solar power plant was put into operation.
As part of the republican environmental program "Taza Kazakhstan", 1,350 trees and shrubs were planted in the district, 9 solid waste landfills were brought into compliance with sanitary requirements, and 44 unauthorized dumps were eliminated.
