Deputy Head-Commissioner for Ethics of the Department of Internal State Audit in Kostanay region Moldagaliyev Zhasulan Yelzhanovich held a visiting meeting with civil servants of the akim of Sarykol district. Within the framework of the seminar, the participants were brought to the attention of changes in the legislation on public procurement, as well as the norms of the Code of Ethics for civil servants.
Information was provided on the results of the Department's activities for 2024, on the measures taken based on the results of audit activities.
For example, according to one of them, audit materials sent to law enforcement agencies, the chief accountant was found guilty of committing a criminal offense under paragraph 1 of part 3 of article 189 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan and sentenced to restriction of liberty for a period of 3 years for unjustified payment of wages in the amount of 4.6 million tenge.
Also given are the indicators of the Department for bringing officials to administrative responsibility for violation of legislation on public procurement, for violations of accounting and distortion of reporting, for failure to comply with orders and notifications, and so on.
In total, 233 persons were brought to administrative responsibility with a fine in the amount of 38.2 million tenge, of which 99% were paid. The unpaid amount (110,760 tenge) was transferred for enforcement to bailiffs.

So, in 2024, the Department of Desk Control of the Department sent 1918 notifications to eliminate violations of public procurement procedures in the amount of 39.2 billion tenge, which were fully executed.
